Hello Bee
This is Hello Bee from the Somebunny range. It's been a joy to stitch - whole stitches only! It's going to be a birth sampler for my great-nephew who turns 1 next month. I don't have a lot of time to get it stitched and framed, so I'm relieved how easy it's been. I only started stitching it last Thursday, so I'm really pleased with my progress.

My Lady Finished
I finished My Lady last night and I just love how she turned out. I've changed the colours in the skirt a bit.
I stitched her in memory of my mother and the ornament I've used is a Scottish coin from 1942. It's one of a handful that my father brought back with him during WWII, after having met and married my mother in Scotland.
I've found a nice frame for her, so I'll have a go at framing her myself.

My Lady
Am really enjoying stitching My Lady. I'm stitching her in memory of my mother and I've got a special ornament to add to her when she's done. I'm adding some green on the skirt for a bit of extra colour.

A Finish At Last
Little Angel in the Clouds is done - my first finish for this year! I do love her. Have to find a frame for her now.
My next project is 'My Lady' by Little House Needleworks. Fell in love with her as soon as I saw her. Not sure about the colours though, there's a bit too much brown for my liking.

Little Angel in the Clouds
Haven't done much stitching this fortnight, so she isn't finished just yet. Took me a while to pick the right colours. The DMC suggestions they had were too dark for my liking, so there was a bit of frogging done.

Little Angel in the Clouds
Well, my Byzantine lady is frustrating me so much, that I've put it aside until I can face dealing with it again. The chart's wrong, I tried to frog some stitches and cut other ones close by, so I just gave up on it for now.
I've started this one instead. I wanted something small and easy to do. It's a Heart In Hand design called 'Little Angel in the Clouds'. I might actually have a finish to show next fortnight. That would feel good.

Byzantine Lady
I finally got back to doing some stitching this week. I've finished the neck on my Byzantine Lady. Then taking a look at the cover pic on the kit, I noticed that the 2 bottom rows are missing from the chart! So I'll figure those out myself and stitch them in. Some of the backstitching on the chart is in the wrong colour too. Someone had a really bad day when they did the charting for this.

Byzantine Progress Pic
Finally did some stitching on her this evening. Not sure about how the eyes will end up looking, but I do love how the hair looks. There seems to be a few mistakes on the chart, to how the cover picture looks, so I've made some minor colour changes to suit myself.
Love seeing everyone else's pieces.

Ladies, Start Your Needles!
Now that we've finally clicked over into 2012, we can make a start! You can upload a pic of the project/s that you'll be working on first, if you want. Or you can just wait till Monday the 9th, when the first progress pic is due.
My first project is Maia's Byzantine. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it and just had to get it! I started it late last year sometime, but found the 16-count black aida really hard going. Fortunately, it's not very big, so I just have to persevere with it. There's quite a few beads to go onto it too, which I've never really done before. It looks a little spooky at the moment without the eyes done, like a sugar skull or something, but she will be beautiful in the end.
